About

The Heerenrijk Trust was established when the shareholders in the Consortio Capital Group realized that changes in our business was overdue, if we are to secure our business with long lasting success and a vision worth working for.

Our business has always just been there to create shareholder wealth with no regard to doing anything else than just making money and after giving our lives to God we came to realize that we have a bigger purpose in life and need to be different if we want to see our beloved Africa change for the better.

Hence in October 2016 a unanimous decision was reached by the shareholders to transfer 30% of our Group’s interest to a newly formed Trus- The Heerenrijk Trust.

The name Heerenrijk is derived from the Afrikaans words “die Heer” se “Ryk”. The lords kingdom directly translated into English.

In other words the Heerenrijk Trust is a special purpose Trust established for God and has God as its only Shareholder. The income derived from the Trust will be put to use to build the Kingdom of God in Africa and serve all His people.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to grow the Heerenrijk Trust organically through its shareholding in our Group and subsequent shareholding in a layer of businesses within our Group, to become one of the largest contributors in Africa – funding, growing and expanding the Kingdom of GOD to the benefit of serving and uplifting HIS PEOPLE.

MISSION

The Heerenrijk Trust is a not-for-profit trust that was established in 2016.

The founding mission of Heerenrijk is to strategically invest its resources to further the expansion of the Kingdom of God. Heerenrijk will achieve this through funding allocations made to established, credible ministries in South Africa and beyond, which are intentionally focused on sharing the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Through the committed efforts of these grass root organizations we see the true redemptive power of the gospel displayed through a life transformed, a future restored and an assurance grounded in the unchanging goodness of God.

What are our core values?

Relationship:

We often remind ourselves that our dreams of success are not firstly God’s purpose for us, rather His desire is that we trust in Him and commit ourselves to walking in relationship with Him.

Through this we glorify him – the outcome of our efforts are in His hands and His providence is merely a by-product of His grace and our obedience.

 Stewardship:

We consider God to be the Owner of The Heerenrijk Trust and the team to be stewards who are to be accountable for that which has been placed in our care.

 Partnership:

We appreciate that it is only through partnering with like-minded people, who carry a testimony and passion for effective Kingdom expansion, that we are able to fulfill our mandate.

 Entrepreneurship:

We seek to cultivate an environment which recognizes and encourages innovative, differentiated approaches to reach people across different social and geographic contexts. We encourage our partners to do the same.

The Constitution of the Heerenrijk Foundation is

SOLA SCRIPTURA

The Foundation and building blocks, ethics, principals, code of conduct and decision making processes are all Bible based, with no exceptions.

Under the protection of God the Father, through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we strive to be led by Holy Spirit in all aspects of the business, with sound financial and management practices, giving thanks to and honoring God in all our ventures, contributing to the advancement of His Kingdom here on earth.
